San Francisco to Windsor California

Today was the first day of our ride.  We headed to the Eagle Rider Bike Rental in San Francisco today which shares the space with the Harley Davidson dealership.  I went by taxi and Connie headed there on her motorcycle.  Very easy to pick up the bike.  Awesome I got a 2021 Road Glide.  It is different from my street glide as the fairing is stationary and does not move with the handle bars.  I wasn’t sure how I was going to like it - but I love it.

So there was a few places I wanted to stop and one was the Painted Ladies - which is the different coloured homes that is an icon of San Francisco and where they always showed on Full House.  So cool we were able to park right in front and then take our pictures.  I tell you interesting riding on an unfamiliar bike in a very frigging hilly city like San Francisco!  Wow is all I can say.

Next on the picture list was a picture with the bikes in front of a good shot of the Golden Gate Bridge.  Again we were able to park the bikes that strategically showed the bridge in the background.  It was awesome as we got a lady to take our pictures.

So off we went to cross the Golden Gate Bridge and my new GoPro worked great today and I was able to take pictures of Connie as we crossed the bridge.  Highway 1 was next on the list to ride and OMG the twisty roads were amazing.  Big smiles all around on this girl.  The Road Glide performed amazing.

We stopped a few times along the way to take pictures as well and the GoPro was amazing - thanks again Mom and Dad.

We arrived around 5:30 at the resort we are staying at in Windsor California.  It is beautiful.  We quickly emptied our bike of all our luggage and headed to the grocery store.  We filled a grocery cart with food and perhaps some booze too as we are here for three nights.  Well we were able to fit it all in our bikes!

We got back to our resort and everyone else had arrived.  So there is from left to right back row first - Gary, Lulu, Ken, Kim and Pat.  Front row - Joyce, Connie and me.  A fun night was had - I presented Ken with his Renfrew County HOG shirt and Joyce with some Harley earrings for organizing such an amazing trip.  Thank you again and thank you to Connie for inviting me along for the ride!!
